"Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD) programs continue to expand as companies look to save money and improve accessibility by allowing employees to use their own cell phones, laptops, and other personal devices to work outside the office. The convenience and cost savings must be balanced with legal, technical, and practical issues associated with such policies. Our panel will discuss how to craft a BYOD policy that protects the company and complies with the applicable laws without overburdening employees who bring their own devices to work.
During our program, we will also discuss unique issues with managing the preservation and collection of company data on personal devices when litigation or investigations arise.
