This is going to be a 60 minute training regarding recent developments on the impact of AI-related technologies under consumer protection statutes, with a focus on the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA), and AI-related legislation. We will discuss the legal background, theories of liability, enforcement, and compliance best practices for these statutes, alongside the implications of AI technologies like chatbots and session replay. The program will also address recent legal developments and guidance on AI provided by key federal enforcement agencies, such as the CFPB and the FCC, highlighting the potential risks associated with these technologies.
