How Industry Collaboration Shaped the Carequality Interoperability Framework
Troutman Sanders was mentioned in this February 8 OpenHealth News article about some of the collaborative efforts that led to the creation of the Carequality Interoperability Framework. The Framework supports interoperable data exchange across different electronic health record vendor platforms, with the potential to dramatically increase connectivity across healthcare, including provider organizations, payers, government agencies, and more.
Steve Gravely and Erin Whaley in the Troutman Sanders healthcare practice area provided legal counsel and group facilitation to Carequality throughout this two-year process. Specifically, the firm’s facilitation of the Trust Framework Work Group to develop Principles of Trust that serve as the foundation for Carequality’s operating structure was touted.
