Since 1997, the Philadelphia Bar Association has had an Exchange Program with the Lyon Bar Association in France. As part of this program, the Philadelphia Bar Association sends law students to Lyon to participate in internships every summer. The program's goals include improving the mutual knowledge of lawyer-to-be and bringing Philadelphia and Lyon closer.
Our three panelists are interns from last summer: Victoria Rosario, J.D. Candidate at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, Meghan Termat, J.D. Candidate at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, and Kelyu Yu, J.D. Candidate at University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. The panel will be moderated by Benjamin Stowers, Associate at Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP.
Together they will share their discovery of French Law and provide feedback on their experiences abroad.
This event is the first part of a two-part series. The second part will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 and will give the opportunity to the French interns of the program to present their experiences.
Please join us as we discuss the civil law system and to promote the French American friendship.
An opportunity will be provided to discuss additional programs.
Advanced registration is required no later than Friday, February 9, 2024 by noon. Please email virginia.lazovich@troutman.com to register.
