BETHESDA, MD – Troutman Pepper served as legal counsel to its client Hull Street Energy, a private equity firm that specializes in deploying capital into the power sector as it decarbonizes, in two recent matters. The firm counseled Hull Street Energy in its strategic investment in Greenskies Clean Focus, and served as legal counsel in the private equity firm’s definitive agreement to acquire 100% of EF Oxnard, LLC from an affiliate of Atlantic Power & Utilities.
Strategic Investment in Greenskies Clean Focus
Founded in 2009, Greenskies Clean Focus is a vertically integrated company that develops, constructs, finances, owns, and operates distributed renewable generation projects throughout the United States. Greenskies has one of the largest C&I portfolios in the US, with projects ranging from 200KW to 20MW.

Acquisition of California Natural Gas-Fired Power Plant
Located in Oxnard, California, EF Oxnard is a 48 MW simple cycle, gas-fired power plant. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 of 2023. Upon closing this transaction, Hull Street Energy affiliates will own approximately 2,350 MW of critical gas-fired and dual-fueled generation capacity to support grid operations throughout the United States.
