Troutman Pepper Alumni Newsletter — October 2023
A NOTE FROM STEVE AND TOM
We are pleased to share highlights from Q3 as well as note upcoming events in offices around the country.
During this quarter we welcomed lateral partners in our Private Equity and our Regulatory Investigations, Strategy, and Enforcement practices. We also welcomed 64 entry level associates in 17 practice groups across 14 of our offices. And this month, members of our partnership met face-to-face for the second time post-pandemic at our annual partner retreat.
We also announced the firmwide release of Athena, a firm-approved, ChatGPT application to help attorneys and business professionals safely and effectively use generative AI to improve workflows and enhance overall user and client experiences. Athena represents the next step in our exploration and adoption of generative AI to streamline internal processes quickly and effectively to deliver more value to our clients.
We are excited that Tom will succeed Steve as the firm's chair, and Amie Colby, in turn, will succeed Tom as managing partner, effective January 1, 2024. Steve will remain a partner in the firm. We look forward to this new chapter and to working with Amie in her new leadership role.
Please be sure to read the full newsletter to learn more about firm-related news, activities, updates, and more.
Hope to see you soon.

A NOTE FROM CLARE
As we wrap up our 2023 reception season, I'd like to thank all who joined us in eight cities to celebrate friendships and professional connections. Throughout our careers, we have the privilege of interacting with a diverse group of colleagues, mentors, clients, and friends. Those relationships have a long-standing impact on us both professionally and personally and feeling the energy in the room when our attorneys and alums reconnect is hard to measure but exciting to experience. Please enjoy some photos!
Our team is eagerly working to find more opportunities to connect in 2024!
All the best,
Clare
