Troutman Sanders Receives CVC of Atlanta’s Skills-Based Volunteer IMPACT Award
ATLANTA – The Corporate Volunteer Council (CVC) of Atlanta has recognized Troutman Sanders LLP with a Skills-Based Volunteer IMPACT Award. The award highlights companies that integrate skilled volunteerism into their community engagement activities to impact the community and accomplish business objectives.
Specifically, Troutman Sanders was recognized for its pro bono work with Christian City, a nonprofit that focuses on providing a safe home and loving community for the most vulnerable among us. Troutman Sanders’ attorneys partnered with the nonprofit to provide end of life planning documents and legal services (wills, guardianships, financial powers of attorney) for low-income senior citizens. To date, attorneys have assisted 47 individuals through the program.
“We are proud to partner with Christian City to advance their mission, and we are honored to provide pro bono services to seniors and assist them with their end of life planning needs,” said Judith Fuller, counsel at Troutman Sanders who has been volunteering with the organization since 2013.
Each year, Troutman Sanders’ attorneys dedicate thousands of pro bono hours in support of nonprofits, military veterans, children, the wrongfully accused, and so many more. Troutman Sanders attorneys and professional staff who have volunteered with Christian City include Judith Fuller, Josh Combs, Leilani Healy, Deborah Kassler, Susan Pendergrass, and Emily Prince.
The firm received the Skills-Based Volunteer IMPACT Award during the 22nd Annual IMPACT Awards on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Learn more about CVC of Atlanta and its award program at cvcofatlanta.org.
