James Stevens is one of the panelists for the WHF/WHFF Partner Series: Multistate Exam for Finance Companies event, which will be held December 7, 2020.
James, and the other panelist, will discuss the recent unveiling of the multistate exam for finance companies and how, if at all, that competes with the national bank and federal thrift charters.
James Stevens provides corporate and regulatory advice in Atlanta. He has substantial experience in the representation of public and private companies, including banks, nonbanks, marketplace lenders, and other fintech and financial services providers in connection with formation, licensing, program agreements, mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing transactions, joint ventures, and regulatory reporting and compliance. He is a past chairman of the Georgia Bankers Association Bank Counsel Section Board of Directors. James graduated from Georgia Tech and earned his JD at University of Georgia.
