Ben is an associate in the firm's Real Estate practice. He represents owners, investors, and developers in the acquisition, sale, and development of commercial, retail, office, and industrial properties, as well as tenants and landlords in the negotiation of leases. Ben also has experience representing clients on asset purchases agreements, as well as complex joint ventures. He also works on transactions that involve businesses with significant real estate assets, such as automobile dealerships, car washes and multifamily developments.
Ben drafts and negotiates purchase and sale agreements, asset purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, leases, loan documents, as well as other critical documents required in connection with real estate development; the review of all project due diligence, including title and survey matters and organizational documents; and the coordination of closings with title and escrow companies.
Ben graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he served as comment editor for the San Diego Law Review and was a member of Business Law Society and the Transactional Law Team. While in law school, Ben was in the Order of the Coif and received a CALI Excellence Award in legal writing and research, international arbitration, and corporate tax.
