Isabela is an associate in the firm's White Collar + Government Investigations Practice Group. She focuses her practice on representing clients in government investigations and civil and criminal litigation. Isabela also has experience conducting factual internal investigations into misconduct and abuse that require extensive document review and production, as well as witness interviews.
Isabela maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients on Board of Immigration Appeals, adjustment of status applications, U-Visa petitions, and applications for asylum and withholding of removal. Most recently, Isabela successfully defended a pro bono client against an ejectment action.
Isabela graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as a staff member and editor of the North Carolina Law Review and was an honors writing scholar. She also graduated from the University of North Carolina Hussman School of Journalism and Media with a master's degree in media and communication, where she was a recipient of the Roy H. Park fellowship.
