Mark is a fellow of The Pepper Center for Public Service. The Pepper Center draws on the talents of the firm's retired partners and senior attorneys to wrestle with tough problems facing our communities. Through the Center, these attorneys study, analyze, and work to resolve problems that affect the lives of people in our communities.
Mark has more than 30 years of experience in immigration law and has been consistently ranked as a top immigration attorney by Chambers USA and U.S. News – Best Lawyers. Prior to his retirement, he led the firm's immigration practice, providing sophisticated advice, training, compliance, and advocacy services to corporations, executives and specialized employees. Mark analyzed international transfers on a daily basis and advised all size of companies on work permits and business visas. He was often engaged in challenging matters dealing with appeals, re-filings and Requests for Evidence. He also advised on outbound visa work. His client list is made up of many entrepreneurs and investors, as well as General Counsels, CEOs and Directors of HR. As chair of the Atlanta Office Pro Bono Committee, Mark managed some of the firm's significant pro bono contributions, which resulted in the 2013 National Public Service Award by the American Bar Association's Business Law Section.
